About City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel

City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel is a huge Bloomsbury property with 1,358 rooms, making it one of the biggest hotels in London. The scale gives it the feel of a small city block rather than a boutique stay, and it sits within easy walking distance of Euston Station and the British Museum, with good transport links across the capital.

Rooms are simple and budget-friendly, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with room service, laundry service and drinks in the room, plus meeting rooms and business services for those travelling for work. Breakfast is served each morning and has been a consistent highlight for guests staying here.

Concierge staff and luggage storage make it a practical base for exploring on foot, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries all nearby. The beds are comfortable and the staff are well regarded, though the building's central position means street noise can carry into some rooms, particularly those facing Bedford Way.

Rooms were compact but comfortable. They could do a better job with interiors as the storage and cupboard space was inadequate. Service was good. Staff was helpful, particularly Danial who was extremely professional and friendly. He ensured to resolve any issues related to my stay. Overall, a pleasant experience. The hotel doesn’t offer great views but most landmarks are near it. So ideal if you wish to travel to landmarks in no time.

We had the best experience. The staff was always kind, helpful an accommodating, (especially Janna!). The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. This was our first time visiting London and we thought the location was perfect. The area is safe, well connected by transit and quiet/calm in the evenings. The only consideration is the lack of AC in the rooms for extremely (unusual) hot weather, but we had a good working fan and the room was well ventilated by a big window. We will definitely stay there when we visit London again.

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights with my mother. We walked from St. Pancras to the hotel and there were quite some tube stations close by, that made getting around very easy for us. We found the rooms to be spacious, the beds super comfortable (especially the pillows) and the bathroom modern and clean. We had everything we needed, even an ironing board and iron I used one day. The staff was always friendly and happy to help. The breakfast had a lot of options, from warm classic English breakfast to jams, muesli, cereal, baked goods and breads. I was personally thrilled by the three! different plant based milks that were offered. The only thing negative we have to say are the poorly insulated metal window frames in the room we stayed in. Those made the room poorly insulated against wind, cold and noise from outside. That way the nights/mornings were a hit or miss, wether there were students talking loudly at night across the street or big busses below the window, having their engine constantly running from 7:20am. Also after our stay I inquired for the brand of the pillows and all the staff I communicated with about this were super friendly and helpful! We would be happy to come back (with better ear plugs!)

Im left very confused and upset with the service at the end of the stay.. booked a taxi for my early flight the night before with the hotel. I was instructed to be on time. And the fare being75 pounds. After checkout and waiting, the taxi did not arrive. I had to speak with the concierge from the hotel. They provided no info, simply told me to wait. after waiting 15 minutes I asked them again frustration building over the lack of communication. I had to ask them if there was any information on its whereabouts. All they could tell me was it was on its way, I had to then ask if the delay could be explained. They told me it was a closed road. They left me with so little understanding on whether I could consider different alternative for the transportation. 20min passed, and I was talking with them about whether there would be compensation or a lower rate for being this late. And if there was any booking confirmation for me to keep, especially if the delay could cause me to be late for flight. They said unsure. This taxi service felt very unserious and dodgy. There is no service guarantee from the hotel or the the taxi. Driver did arrive in the end about 35 or 40min late. Reading on the drivers what'sApp he was told to give us a compensation lovering fare with 5 pounds. His phone did not take our payment card for some reason forcing us to run in for an atm machine further leaving us frustrated with how late we were getting. I will not be returning as I can no longer trust their services and how they handle things
