About Kimpton - Fitzroy London
Russell Square's tree-lined gardens sit right outside the door of Kimpton - Fitzroy London, a substantial hotel occupying a historic building on this handsome Bloomsbury square. The period architecture is a big part of the appeal, with grand proportions and period detail giving the public spaces real character, while the surrounding streets offer a quieter, leafier corner of central London within easy reach of the British Museum.
The 334 rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in room, plus family and accessible options and a bridal suite for those marking an occasion. There's a restaurant and bar on site, room service, and a breakfast that guests consistently rate as one of the highlights of a stay. A gym, concierge desk, meeting rooms and business facilities round out the practical side, alongside laundry and luggage storage.
Staff are frequently singled out for going beyond the basics, offering local recommendations and attentive service throughout a stay. Beyond the hotel, Bloomsbury's pubs, restaurants and public transport links are all close by, making Russell Square a workable base for exploring the wider city on foot or by tube.

What guests say
The Kimpton Fitzroy has one of the best hotel teams I've experienced, with every staff member focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience. From the seamless check-in process to the front door and concierge teams, every interaction was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The staff were passionate about hospitality and happy to share insights about the hotel history, area and restaurants. The room was beautifully appointed, the complimentary minibar was a lovely surprise, and the shower and bath were simply superb. Breakfast service was fantastic, with a special thank you to Lina for her outstanding hospitality. Be sure to admire the hotel's stunning staircase, meet Lucky George, enjoy the excellent gym, and take advantage of the complimentary social hour. Every detail contributed to a memorable stay. A truly deserving 5-star experience. I can't wait to return.

What a lovely hotel ! It has certainly been a while since I experienced such amazing service and hospitality. Top notch management team and a very efficient concierge! The hotel helped me with everything, including storage (and retrieval) of items in their freezer. With respect to the premises, the hotel is spacious (I stayed in the queen premium) and the rooms are lovely. The hotel is truly determined to make you as comfortable as possible...they provided complimentary snacks, and I even borrowed an LED face mask ! The location is also very convenient; during my stay I could easily take the bus, tube or even walk! The only minor issue I noticed was that the lifts were rather slow but the excellent service from the staff and the comforts of my hotel room pretty much made up for this during my stay. On my last night I needed some help and Shirin (the duty manager on shift) was extremely thoughtful and came up with practical solutions for me very quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I am certainly returning again. Highly recommended!

A stunning hotel!! The rooms, lobby and bar are absolutely beautiful, but what really makes it stand out is the service and small touches. From the moment we arrived every member of staff we met was helpful and friendly (but not in a performative way). The small touches like fresh milk for coffee in the morning, umbrellas, and the ability to get phones chargers, adapters etc delivered to the room really make this hotel stand apart from others I’ve stayed in (even the likes of the four seasons). This is a real gem of a hotel and I would highly recommend it. We also came to this hotel after staying a few nights at the St Pancras autograph hotel for work, and the hotels are worlds apart. The Kimtpn Fitzroy exceeded it in every way!

Stayed at the Kimpton over the weekend. What a fantastic hotel. The staff are wonderful and could not do enough for you, a big shout out to the porters who were so helpful (it was so hot, not sure how they did it) despite the heat they were doing everything with a smile. Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from and again the staff were super friendly. The staff everywhere are a credit to the hotel. Our room was out of this world, paid extra to up grade to a Park view studio, well worth it, lots of space and the best bathroom I have had in London. Bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Loved the real plants in the room. Defiantly would recommend a stay at the Kimpton.
