About London Elizabeth Hotel

London Elizabeth Hotel occupies a 19th-century building on Lancaster Terrace, close to London Paddington, and its garden terrace restaurant is the standout feature guests remember most. The hotel has 49 rooms, which are modest in size but come with air conditioning and free WiFi, keeping things straightforward and comfortable rather than grand.

Beyond the restaurant and its garden setting, facilities include a bar, a gym, a spa and sauna, and concierge services to help with plans around the city. Breakfast is served on-site, luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late, and childcare can be arranged for families. Pets are welcome, too.

The surrounding area has plenty to offer, from nearby pubs and restaurants to entertainment options within easy reach, and Chessington World of Adventures is often mentioned as a point of interest for those venturing a little further out. It's a fitting base for exploring central London, with the elegance of the restaurant and terrace as its clearest draw.

I stayed in 2013 and thought the hotel was perfectly old London. I wanted a good night's sleep and a proper bathroom. This hotel did not disappoint. I wasn't looking for 5 star spa type accommodations. I was looking for something quintessential London and affordable, and this hotel delivered. The breakfast was great. Yes the elevator was small, but we have an amazingly fun memory of getting our luggage upstairs and back down again. The bar was great. And the employees were very helpful.

Nice and close to winter wonderland and to the tube. Price was great especially next to Hyde Park. Hotel rooms are very old and really need a re doing. Carpets were very dirty, walls had loads of stains. Didn't feel very confident stayed in the room to be honest. Breakfast, I was hoping to get a full English breakfast but ended up realising that breakfast was actually croissants and cereals. Staff: Great and very respectful staff

This hotel is a shocker! Advertised as a 4* on booking.com when a 2* rating would be generous. Please don't be fooled by the promotional photographs on the various hotel booking websites. This hotel is dirty, has an unpleasant musky smell throughout and is literally falling apart. Our room had a wall light hanging by exposed electric wires. There was a mouse trap under on of the beds, a broken toilet seat and only one (face) towel in the bathroom. The shower trickled out at best and the hair dryer actually defied the laws of physics as it had more power when it was switched off. The "continental" breakfast basically consisted of tea, coffee, toast and fruit. The one toaster was broken. The young receptionist has poor communication skills and his attire can best be described as slovenly. This hotel is best left in it's Victorian past. Avoid!!

Just stayed here for 2 nights on a London Visit. We read the mixed reviews before booking. The key thing with reviews is the owners responses, which often says more than the review itself. An owner that bothers to respond obviously cares what guests think. The building is full of Edwardian charm, yes it could do with a bit of refurbishment, but it's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is advertised as basic, so don't moan about it not being full English, it's perfectly adequate. This hotel is in a great location and it is economically priced. If you want everything perfect pay four or five times the price and go to another hotel. If you are happy with a clean economical hotel in a great location, with parking, then look no further.
