About Marlin Waterloo
A kitchenette in the room is not something every London hotel offers, but it is a feature at Marlin Waterloo, on Westminster Bridge Road. Rooms here are generally spacious and well-kept, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi as standard, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Housekeeping standards are said to vary between stays, so it is worth flagging any issues early with the team.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel has a gym and a spa with sauna, along with business services and meeting rooms for those travelling with work in mind. Breakfast is served on site, and there is a lift, luggage storage and laundry service to make longer stays easier. Staff, including team members Sezai and Vibha, have been singled out for going out of their way to help guests settle in and find their way around.
The location puts Westminster Bridge and the wider run of central London sights within easy reach, and the surrounding streets have plenty of pubs, restaurants and other places to eat close by. It is a straightforward, well-equipped base for a city stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at Merlin Waterloo Apartments. The apartment was beautifully kept, incredibly clean, and felt like a real home away from home. Everything was tidy, fresh, and well maintained, which made such a difference after busy days exploring London. The apartment had plenty of space, a comfortable layout, and all the essentials we needed for a relaxing stay. It was clear that attention to detail and cleanliness are a priority here. The location was perfect too — close to Waterloo Station with great connections around the city, while still being a comfortable and quiet place to return to. We had a really enjoyable experience and would happily choose Merlin Waterloo Apartments again on our next visit to London. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient stay.

We had a wonderful family stay in this hotel during our long weekend in London with children. First of all, the location is excellent — very close to Waterloo Station, with easy access to all parts of London and the main tourist attractions. It was extremely convenient for sightseeing with kids. The room was very spacious and perfectly suitable for a family. We had two large and very comfortable double beds, one for the parents and one for the children, which made our stay very relaxing. The room also included a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, cooking facilities, and a coffee machine with coffee and tea provided. We did not cook ourselves, but it is great to have the possibility to prepare breakfast or meals if needed. Everything in the hotel was spotless and very well maintained. The shower was strong and excellent, and the hotel provided large, beautiful white towels in sufficient quantity for the whole family. The entire hotel felt very comfortable and welcoming. A special thank you to the extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the lovely young Ukrainian lady and the young French gentleman, who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We highly recommend this hotel for families visiting London — comfortable, clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location.

Stayed here several times over the years and it’s always one of my favourite places to stay in London. The location is fantastic – just a short walk from Waterloo Station, Lambeth North, the London Eye and so many other attractions, while still being in a quieter area. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, and I especially appreciate having a kitchenette, which makes longer stays so much easier. The beds are comfortable, the hotel is well maintained, and the staff have always been friendly and welcoming. For the price and location, I genuinely think it’s one of the best value hotels in central London. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Charged for early check-in even though the room was ready. Charged for breakfast, coffee machine was broken and breakfast had to be booked a whole day before you planned to eat there. Booked a room for 3 guests, whole hotel only has 1 bed and a small pull out couch, that you will have to make yourself. Had to call and wait for sheets and blankets to be brought up. They didn’t bring pillow so we had to call and began getting ready for the evening. Took them over two hours to bring up one pillow. AC DOES NOT work, won’t even stay on while u leave the key. I understand that they don’t need this all the time, but they do not have any air circulation, not even a fan in the room. I called around approximately 12am for some water bottles to be charged and brought up to the room, I was told “the bar is closed, but you can walk 10 minutes down the street and buy some waters at a random convenience store”. Showers and small, with no fan/ ventilation. The only positive thing about this hotel, is it is fairly conveniently located and most of the staff were friendly. Not helpful, but nice people. Would not recommend staying here if you want any modern conveniences, like A/C or any air circulation, offering you bottles of water upon arrival, or having your bed already made up for your third guest when you arrive. This hotel charges modern prices without providing the modern amenities…..
