Melbourne House

We had a wonderful stay at the Melbourne House Hotel in London and can highly recommend it. This lovely, family-run hotel is owned by incredibly kind and welcoming hosts who are always happy to help. Whether it’s sightseeing tips, restaurant recommendations, or general questions, they take the time to give great advice. Our room (we stayed in a triple room) was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, modern, and beautifully designed. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the City of Westminster, in a very quiet and pleasant area, which makes it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. There are many restaurants within walking distance, as well as several underground stations nearby, including Victoria Station and Pimlico, making it easy to get around London. Additionally, the hotel is very easy to reach by underground from Heathrow Airport, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. A functional, clean and better than average hotel for the area. ...Just needs a little tlc. Advised of arrival time and arrvied at 3pm, the room wasn't ready, but it was only a 5 mins wait. The man on reception was nice and followed up quickly to ensure room was ready. Check in was easy, warm, and all relevant information explained clearly. I stayed in Room 1 that was on the below ground floor. I dread staying below ground when in London, as often these types of rooms have mould. But no. The room was very clean and mould-free and airy. It was spacious, with basic amenities... but during a heatwave, the supplied fan was very useful. Also had a bidet, and lovely artwork, which were nice touches. The room was slightly tired, but nothing wrong. I highly advise people stay here. It would have been a 5 star review, but I was sadly woken up at 7am by people banging around in the room above me. Although I was due to awake at 8am - from 7am-9am, I could only hear footsteps, banging, talking noises. Otherwise would have been an idyllic quiet stay. Due to central location, cleanliness, and small touches, I highly recommend staying. Stayed 29-31st May.

I had a great stay at the Melbourne House Hotel. After making an incorrect booking date they were able to assist in swapping the dates but also upgraded my room at no extra cost due to the room I had booked being unavailable on the new dates. It's a very safe and secure area, while also being quiet at night away from busy street noise. Thank you Melbourne House Team 🙂

After a bad experience at an apartment we booked through booking.com, this place saved our trip. The staff is super nice and the room was perfect and clean. Plus the street it is on is gorgeous. 10/10 would come here again!!
