About Mina House Hotel
Paddington Station is within easy reach of Mina House Hotel, making onward travel across London straightforward, while Hyde Park offers a green escape for a stroll or some fresh air. The immediate streets around Craven Road also have a good spread of pubs, restaurants and eateries, along with other entertainment nearby, so there's no shortage of options once you've settled in.
The hotel itself has 28 rooms, decorated with an eye for style, and guests have free WiFi throughout along with luggage storage for those arriving before check-in or leaving after checkout. Staff are generally noted as friendly and helpful, which makes navigating a first stay in the city a bit easier.
Some practical points are worth flagging: check-in has been reported as occasionally slow, and a few rooms have been described as having a slightly musty smell, so it's worth requesting a refreshed room if this matters to you. Otherwise, the central location remains the main draw, putting Paddington, Hyde Park and a good choice of nearby dining within easy walking distance.

What guests say
No AC and the room was very warm, even with the window open. The WiFi was unusable. The shower door didn't close all the way and the drain was slow. The pillow wasn't very comfortable. At least the linens and bathroom were clean. Very convenient to Paddington station.

I had a great experience staying at Mina House Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helped us get settled into our rooms after some confusion with the app instructions. They made the process very easy and welcoming. The rooms were also very clean, nice, and had a great aesthetic. Overall, a very comfortable stay and I would definitely recommend it.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️BE AWARE; MOLD, NOT CLEAN, RUDE STAFF + UNSAFE!!!! Booked this hotel via Booking.com when reviews were 7.2, but they dropped to 6 right after with many negative comments. My most HORRIBLE hotel expierence. I received no welcome message or instructions before arrival. When I got there, their was a locked door and I had to call multiple times before someone came. Be aware that they just give u a code for the front door, there is no 24/7 reception meaning anyone can enter. Very very unsafe. The staff was unprofessional and gave us a basement room that was dirty, dusty, and humid. There was mold that they tried to cover up (see pictures). The hotel is family-run and cleaning seems poorly done. Cleaning lady is one of them and does not wear any uniform. Rooms don’t match the pictures. There was even visible mold in the bathroom and room, which is a serious health concern. There were very dirty brown stains that looked like poop on their bed. Bathroom smelled like sewage. When I asked for a refund or another room, the staff was unhelpful. Overall, very disappointing experience and most disgusting hotel. Anyone can enter the hotel!

We recently stayed at Mina Hotel by PLI in London and, while the location is undeniably convenient with good transport access, the overall experience fell significantly short of expectations. Our room was extremely small — to the point where it felt reminiscent of Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs. Unfortunately, the size was not the only issue. The room had very poor sound insulation; footsteps, corridor noise, and plumbing sounds were constantly audible. Early mornings were particularly challenging, as the noise from water pipes made it nearly impossible to sleep. Although we were told the hotel is newly opened, the mattress told a very different story. The springs were clearly noticeable and uncomfortable — to the extent that it felt like sleeping directly on them. After two nights, we both experienced significant back discomfort. The shower deserves a special mention. Turning on the hot water triggered a loud, almost mechanical noise — comparable to a small tractor. Ironically, this noise seemed to be directly linked to the water heating system, as the water would not properly heat unless this sound occurred. Even while showering, the noise was disruptive enough to make the experience unpleasant. One can only imagine how this affects neighboring rooms. We raised the mattress issue with reception, and to their credit, the staff member acknowledged the problem and agreed with our concerns. However, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and no replacement mattress or alternative room was available. In summary, while the location is a strong advantage, the combination of noise, room size, and lack of basic comfort made our stay quite disappointing. There is clear potential, but significant improvements are needed before this property can deliver a comfortable guest experience.
