About The Crescent Hyde Park

Paddington's mix of grand terraces and easy transport links makes it a practical base for London, and Gloucester Terrace sits right in the middle of it. The Crescent Hyde Park occupies one of these townhouses, close enough to Paddington Station for quick access across the city and a short walk from Hyde Park itself.

Rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, and the hotel offers family rooms as well as accessible rooms, though it operates as adults-only accommodation. Guests have drinks available in their room, and practical touches such as free WiFi, luggage storage, laundry service and concierge assistance are all on hand, backed by a 24-hour reception desk.

There's no restaurant on site, but pubs, bars and eateries are all within easy reach nearby, along with entertainment options for evenings out. It suits travellers who want a straightforward, well-connected stay rather than an in-house dining experience.

I booked this hotel on booking.com for 4 nights in June. The area was nice, near to Paddington Station and around the corner was a few restaurants/cafes, nisa local and a pharmacy. The hotel is a sister hotel to The Westbourne which is located across the road it was ideal as they still allowed us to leave our bags for a few hours when checking in and checking out, the bar was nice and staff were very kind/attentive could not fault them at all. A few things to note about this hotel is there is no lift only stairs, we were on the fourth floor which I realised was the top floor and quite a journey we had to make each day to get to the room especially when bringing our suitcases up and down. If you needed anything the reception desk sometimes was not available downstairs so you had to ask at The Westbourne reception. The room was clean and we had room service everyday however the shower floor was stained/textured almost like it had a large mat on it previously and it had been ripped off. Mainly because of the stairs I would probably not stay at this hotel again a room on a lower floor would have been more suitable and maybe we would’ve enjoyed the stay more, the staff were especially helpful with brilliant service and the best part about the stay.

I stayed here last summer and the staff’s care was truly noteworthy. I left my luggage at the partner hotel across the street prior to check in and they ensured it was delivered to my room once it was ready. I made a mistake in my booking (misreading whether a lift was available) and, when I realized reaching the upper floors would be difficult with an injury, they ensured I was moved to a lower floor as soon as a room was available—again arranging to move my luggage for me so I didn’t have to worry. It was all remembered and appreciated!

Booked a hotel for a stay as I was in London for a conference. I also had my elderly parents with me as we were going to spend the day in London. I asked for the staff to confirm my check-out time, they confirmed that it was late in the evening of the next day. I then planned my day after my conference and booked activities keeping my check-out time in mind as I’ll have shopping to do and also my elderly parents needed to come back to the hotel and freshen up and rest between the activities. I woke up the next morning to find a paper slipped under the door and a message saying that my check-out was earlier than it was and that I had to vacate in a few hours. This caused me a lot of stress and one of the agents (Sam) told me that he would keep me updated if they had a spare room. I had been calling other hotels in close vicinity as my activities were planned around Hyde Park and Cavendish square. I couldn’t find any other hotel which would be within reasonable budget due to the nature of the last-minute request. I called back to ask Sam Whether there were updates on any spare rooms. There was a new staff member (who was rather rude) who told me that Sam is off shift and she didn’t seem to know anything about keeping an eye out on any rooms! I was extremely disappointed and let down by this hotel due to their own stupid mistake. I had to then book another hotel and pay extra for another booking and had elderly parents with nowhere to go! I wouldn’t recommend this mismanaged hotel to anyone! Absolutely no consideration and a very horrible experience no doubt.

The only two good things about this place was the bed and that it looked clean. There never was nobody to be found on reception, the tv only had 4 local channels and no option to put Netflix or anything, the walls were all dirty full with what looked like pen scratches and the curtains where all ruptured.
