About Nell Gwynn House Apartments

Chelsea's shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance of Nell Gwynn House Apartments, with Sloane Square just a short stroll away and good transport links for reaching the rest of London. Pubs, eateries and entertainment sit close by too, making this a practical base for exploring the city without relying on taxis or long tube journeys.

The apartments themselves are aimed at longer stays, with a choice of modern studios and one- or two-bedroom units, each with its own kitchen for self-catering and an en-suite bathroom. Rooms come with free WiFi and drinks provided, and the building offers concierge services and luggage storage for guests coming and going. Parking is available on site for an additional fee, useful for anyone arriving by car.

It's a straightforward setup suited to guests who want space, a kitchen of their own, and a Chelsea address rather than a full hotel service. With bars and restaurants on the doorstep and Sloane Square nearby, it works equally well for a short city stay or an extended one.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and I would rate it 8/10. The location in Chelsea is excellent: a quiet and safe area with great transport links. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job, and after we reported a couple of issues, they replaced the missing towels and bedding the same day, which we really appreciated. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the reception service. Unfortunately, they weren’t very helpful when it came to resolving problems. Every request seemed to depend on someone from the back office, and the reception staff could only answer basic questions. For example, our TV wasn’t working from the second day of our stay. We reported it, but no solution was provided. In the end, my father, my brother and I found the problem ourselves: the antenna cable had been disconnected in the hallway service cabinet, apparently while maintenance work and painting were being carried out. Once we plugged it back in, everything worked perfectly. It was frustrating to have to solve a hotel maintenance issue ourselves. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property. With a more proactive reception team, this place could easily deserve 5 stars.

This accommodation has permanent residents as well as guest rooms. Our room was spacious, 4 floors up. A well equipped kitchen thought the microwave was so slow to cook and i had to ask for a potato peeler plus another tea towel as we didn’t use the dishwasher (just two of us and saving water). A double bed had us nearly falling off the edge. Nice dark bedroom with curtains over two small windows which provided a cool breeze. Glass dinning setting and coffee table and a good size comfortable couch. A few stairs up to the lift aren’t great for lugging suitcases. Auto entrance doors. Reception was polite and helpful. Am glad to have seen one of the fellas smile after greeting him a few times over. The job must be quite tedious. Location is tops. Walking distance to shops, supermarket and of course the Chelsea Flower Show.

We stayed at Nell Gwynn House Apartments in London for 8 days, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. I would not recommend staying here. 1. At check-in, the receptionist didn’t even say “hello” or “welcome.” They simply asked for our reservation, handed us the key and an envelope, and that was it. 2. There was no telephone in the room, so every time we needed to contact reception, we had to go downstairs. 3. When we arrived, the bathroom sink was clogged. We reported it, someone came to look at it, said they would come back later, and never returned. 4. The hotel stated that rooms are cleaned once a week. However, during our entire 8-day stay, no one came to clean the room—not even on the 7th day. And this info was not stated at the page of the reservation site. 5. The trash was also never collected during the week, so the room became very dirty. When we asked about it, we were told to take our own garbage to the collection area on the floor, but there weren’t even any spare garbage bags in the room. 6. The apartment has a washing machine, but they don’t provide a single laundry detergent tablet. 7. For a family of four staying for 8 days, they provided only one tiny bar of soap and towels for just two people. 8. There is no air conditioning in the room. It gets extremely hot. They provide a fan, but it is nowhere near enough. 9. The bedspreads were stained, and the curtains also had visible stains. 10. The windows were looking to a noisy street, all night we heard the vehicles. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and attention to guests were far below expectations. I would definitely not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Booked last minute tor a great price, 1 bedroom apartment (largest size on listing) had loads of space for 4 adults with tonnes of storage space if we needed it. Clean, comfortable and stylish. Huge bathroom, great kitchen with basic equipment. Supetmarkey across the road. Only downside was the 10 minute walk to the tube but only an issue at the end of a lond day sightseeing but very easy straight forward walk even for tired feet.
