About Sonder Chelsea Green
Chelsea is one of London's more genteel corners, its streets lined with period townhouses and a short walk from the shops of King's Road and the green space of Battersea Park. Sonder Chelsea Green sits among this at 35 Ixworth Place, offering 50 rooms geared towards guests who want a calm base without straying far from the centre of things.
Rooms are generally spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds and a standard of cleanliness that holds up well, though some have shown signs of wear that housekeeping hasn't always caught up with. Check-in is handled digitally, which most guests find straightforward, even if the wider booking process has occasionally been reported as inconsistent. The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, free WiFi, air conditioning, a lift, luggage storage, meeting rooms, and concierge services for anything guests need arranging.
Beyond the front door, Chelsea offers plenty to fill an evening or afternoon, with pubs, bars, and restaurants scattered nearby alongside other entertainment options. It's a location that suits those wanting to explore London on foot rather than rely on transport links, with the area's own streets and squares as much a draw as any single sight.
What guests say
Really enjoyed my stay at Numa Chelsea Green. The location is fantastic. it's in a lovely, quiet part of Chelsea but still close to plenty of great cafés, restaurants, and transport, so it was easy to get around. The room was clean, modern, and had everything I needed. I also really liked how easy the self check-in and check-out process was. The bed was super comfortable I slept really well! Overall, it was a great experience and I'd happily stay here again. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a comfortable and hassle-free place to stay in London.

Not recommended. The location is quite far from many attractions and points of interest. The amenities advertised were not fully provided, and the room we were assigned was different from the one shown in the listing. The first room had a lock issue, and the door would not lock when we were out (we were always concerned about safety during our outdoor activities). We were moved to a second room, but it had a fire safety issue. We were asked to leave the room so it could be fixed, but the issue was never resolved. There was no microwave in either the room or the shared area to heat food. The kettle was not working, and although housekeeping later brought a replacement, they did not replace the dirty utensils and mugs with clean ones. During our four-night stay, the room was never cleaned, and there was no on-site staff member available to contact regarding housekeeping. The room itself was very small and cramped. The toilet flush occasionally malfunctioned, and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. The bathroom door was made of glass, so no privacy. There was also no electrical outlet in the bathroom for shaving or brushing. Because the room was so small, I ended up spending most of my time in the shared area. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience.

Good location, good price, decent room. Terrible service, no reception desk. We spent 90 minutes trying to get our access codes because for some reason the text confirmations were not arriving to our phones. It feels like an okey hotel where the new owner has tried to cut all costs. We were lucky to have good weather and then some other guest opened the door for us so we could solve the issues from the lobby. This could have been pretty miserable. Numa please do better.

Great short stay, really loved the tech - it actually works! Hotel was super clean and there’s a nice conservatory on ground floor if you want to work outside the room. Coffee machine and bottled water was a nice touch, some big hotels don’t offer those as standard anymore!
