About Notting Hill Gate Hotel

Notting Hill Gate Hotel suits visitors after a straightforward, affordable base rather than a boutique stay. Set at 7 Clanricarde Gardens, it's built for people who plan to spend their days out exploring and just need somewhere handy and inexpensive to sleep, with easy reach of central London and Kensington Gardens.

The hotel has 24 rooms and keeps things simple: breakfast is included, and there's free WiFi, luggage storage and a laundry service for anyone passing through or staying longer than planned. Some rooms are on the small side and could do with updating, so this is one for travellers who prioritise location and price over space or polish.

Staff are consistently mentioned as friendly and helpful, which counts for a lot when you're navigating a big city. The location near the tube station is the main draw, putting pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries nearby within easy walking distance, along with plenty of entertainment options in the surrounding streets of Notting Hill.

Stayed here for a week. The place is decent and close by the notting hill station. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am able to left my luggage after checkout because my flight is at night. But up to a certain hours. Nothing to complain about since the staff is polite and able to help with the simple daily needs such as towels, shower gels and clean out the rubbish.

We had the family room with 2 full beds and a twin. It was a perfect location near Portobello Road market. The room and bathroom was very clean, had a hair dryer and fit our family of four. I gave it 5 stars because for the price and location we couldn’t have asked for more. The front desk held our bags until we were ready to leave. If you’re a large person the shower is small. But it worked for all of us.

I am unable to say much positive about this so called hotel. The location is the best attribute as it is 3 mins from underground station and buses. The establishment itself is very poor, extremely small rooms in need of upgrading.we had a trench cut into the floor to enable a person to move from room to room. The bed wasn't bad and the staff were pleasant. The shower and toilet worked fine. There was no lift, we were offered a room on the fourth floor, a big problem for us in our 70's with some limited mobility. Overall I wouldn't recommend this to anyone .for the same money there are much better choices to stay

We had a wonderful stay at Notting Hill Gate Hotel. The location is perfect — right by the tube station, with easy access to central London, shops, cafés, and attractions. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful, making check-in and our whole stay smooth and comfortable. Our room was clean, cosy, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet, which ensured a great night’s sleep. Overall, a fantastic experience with great value for money. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London!
