About Premier Inn London City Old Street

Premier Inn London City Old Street suits travellers who want a straightforward, no-fuss base for exploring the capital, whether that's a work trip, a weekend of Shoreditch bars, or a family visit to see the sights. With 251 rooms spread across eight floors, it's set up to handle a steady flow of guests without losing the essentials of a comfortable stay.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and reliable beds, and the showers are a genuine highlight. Some rooms do show their age between refurbishments, so it's worth keeping expectations realistic on that front. Breakfast and a restaurant are available on site, and there's 24 hour reception, a lift, accessible rooms, and an electric vehicle charge point for those driving in. Staff are consistently helpful, and getting around the city is easy given the transport links nearby.

Outside the door, Old Street and Shoreditch offer plenty of pubs, restaurants and evening entertainment within walking distance. Parking isn't on site, but chargeable parking is available nearby at Hotel NCP London Finsbury Square. It's a practical, well-located choice for anyone prioritising location and value over polish.

Had a fantastic stay at Premier Inn London City (Old Street). The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what really made the experience stand out was the staff. Ely was exceptional, so warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and you can tell she truly cares about the guest experience. It made such a difference to the whole stay. Daria was also brilliant, really friendly, helpful, and professional. Between them, they created such a positive and relaxed atmosphere throughout my stay. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Great location. No air con just room temperature control wouldn’t go below 19. Bed was comfy but room in need of Better cleaning, dust on bedsheets, walls and lamps. Shower head was dirty and limescale on taps. Outside needs sweeping as cigarette butts everywhere. We had a good stay but room for improvement

I really like this hotel, always clean and nice staff. Very quick check in process with the self check in desks which can even allocate key cards to you so no need to speak to a member of staff if you don’t want/need to. We’ve stayed in the Premier Plus rooms both times which are the top 2 levels of the building. Always quiet and got a good nights sleep both times. The area is fine, just off the main road and we used the hotel for the Nightjar bar and also to go to Gordon Ramseys new restaurant which was a nice walk from there. We would stay again.

This is the second weekend in a row we've spent at the Premier Inn in Old Street, whilst we check out the area. The hotel is in a great location - easy tube & bus links. It's also very walkable. The room is basic no frills but very reasonably priced & I like staying here for that reason. Check in / out is automated & simple. BUT this is the second weekend in a row that there has been NO HOT WATER at the hotel!!!!!! A one off occurrence would be excusable but 2 weekends of no hot water - is NOT ACCEPTABLE !! The sign of apology in the lift is the same sign they used last weekend & says it's an unexpected 'technical issue'. I call it trying to cut costs at the expense of the guest! Do better Premier Inn!
