About Premier Inn London Docklands Excel

Six floors and 206 rooms make up the Premier Inn London Docklands Excel, a straightforward modern hotel built for easy access to Excel London and the Royal Victoria DLR station. It's a practical base rather than a destination in itself, with a lift serving all floors and 24 hour reception for whenever you arrive.

Rooms are en-suite, with a number of accessible options available, and come with drinks available in-room. The beds and overall space in the rooms are a regular highlight, and the on-site restaurant serves breakfast with a good spread of choice each morning. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though service can slow down at busier times. Chargeable parking is available on-site at the front of the hotel, a useful option given the area.

Beyond the hotel there's plenty within reach, with a pub, bar and various eateries nearby, plus other entertainment options close at hand alongside Excel London itself. It suits anyone attending events at the exhibition centre or passing through Docklands who wants comfortable, no-fuss accommodation with easy transport links.

I had an amazing stay at Premier Inn London Docklands. From the moment I arrived until I checked out, everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great stay. The location was also perfect, making it easy to get around London and explore the local area. What really stood out was the exceptional service. I got to speak with Corina at reception every day, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure every guest was happy. She seemed to be on her feet 24/7, always helping customers with a smile and going above and beyond to provide excellent service. To top it all off, I paid a fantastic price for the stay, which made the experience even better. Great value for money, excellent rooms, brilliant location, and outstanding customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.

Lady on reception on check in was awesome. Very helpful, bubbly and great with our kids. The room was satisfactory. The issue i had was when we dined. I ordered Medium Rare steak. No matter how much a chewed it, it wouldnt break up. Was extremely difficult to cut up. The 1st dish ive ever sent back in my life. As a result I was sat there without food whilst my family finished their meals and they had to wait for me to finish mine. The kids were becoming restless. The new steak that came out was absolutely fine. The staff were great but didn't offer any compensation/refund/complimentary desert, nothing. I wrote to Premier Inn about this and they brushed it under the carpet stating it was procedure not to offer compensation and they are happy with the decision made by their staff. DO NOT EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT as you risk your meal not being correct and then they aren't willing to put things right for the terrible dining experience we encountered. Poor from Premier Inn HQ

Stayed at this hotel for a conference at Excel recently: - upon check in, met Corina who was amazing, listened intently, made some changes to accommodate my request for a quieter room and even when I spilled coffee on my jacket, she found me something to wear temporarily as it was raining heavily! -the entrance to Excel was about 3-4 mins away( it was helpful as majority of my conference was happening on this end). -I booked a premier plus room, as usual, room was very nice, neat and clean. The only thing I felt was the bed was not as comfortable as all other Premier Inns I have stayed at.( quite hard mattress but could be that it was new?) but it was less of an issue at this point. No noise issues for me in the room. And the blinds were brilliant, not a single particle of light! -Prince Regent station is 6 mins walk ( if you don’t want to even walk through Excel to get to Custom House). -For dinner, I met very pleasant staff members-Jurate, Munir, Dalvin and Cynthia. Everyone was very polite and professional and for the first time I felt that these people love their job and it makes a difference to people staying there( I made sure to tell them too) -I met Corina next morning again and she showed me around at Breakfast( no one has ever done that!) and she did that for every guest that came after me too. She personally made me the best hot chocolate of my life and it felt like it was her own hotel, the way she managed everything. I have never written so much for a review but I feel they totally deserve it!

We had an excellent stay for an event. The rooms were lovely and clean and all staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had breakfast in the morning and Corina went above and beyond for us assisting with my sister’s dietary restrictions. She followed the allergy procedure perfectly and was so friendly at every point, this wasn’t just to us we could see her interactions with others guests and all were positive. Thank you both Corina and the team for a great experience !
