About Rose and Crown Stoke Newington

Sunday lunch is something of a draw at the Rose and Crown Stoke Newington, with generous roasts and a vegetarian option that gets equal billing, alongside a solid range of beers at the bar downstairs. It's a proper pub setting, dog-friendly and warm, with outdoor seating for milder days and staff generally on hand to help, though the pace of service can vary when things get busy.

Upstairs, the rooms are kept simple: en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, free WiFi, and drinks available in the room. Family rooms are available for those travelling with children, and breakfast is served alongside the usual restaurant and bar facilities. Luggage storage and 24-hour reception make arrivals and departures straightforward.

The location on Stoke Newington Church Street puts guests among further pubs, restaurants and eateries nearby, along with other entertainment options within easy reach. It suits anyone after an unfussy base in North London with a decent pint and a roast dinner close at hand.

Came here for a lovely Sunday roast. Staff were very friendly. Excellent service. We really enjoyed our vegetarian options, the Wellington and nut roast. The Beef was a bit fatty. We had the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Rose & Crown recently and couldn’t have had a better experience. Kate was so welcoming, accommodating, friendly and kind. We arrived a little early and were able to check in which was great. The rooms were fantastic- most comfortable bed ever, great shower, clean and spacious. The location is ideal, Stoke Newington is one of my favourite areas in London. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. The pub itself is full of character and has a rooftop which is a lovely bonus on a nice day! Kate is lovely to chat to and I would come back for a stay in a heartbeat. 10/10 experience.

Very comfortable rooms and the staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Loved the touch of a handwritten note and flowers in the rooms from the manager. The continental breakfast featuring pre-sliced ham and cheese from a packet and cold boiled eggs was disappointing but we popped across the road to another place for the all important hearty-breakfast. Overall great bed option, poor breakfast.

Roof terrace was peaceful with a welcome breeze in the heat. Sonila was a joy. Helpful, hard-working, cheerful serving us breakfast. The position of the hotel close to shops, cafes & a park was excellent. Enjoyed my 2 nights here. 👍
