About The Waldorf Hilton

The Aldwych has long been one of London's great theatre and entertainment thoroughfares, within easy reach of the Strand, Covent Garden and King's College London. The Waldorf Hilton occupies a historic building here, putting guests within walking distance of the West End's stages and the bars and restaurants clustered nearby.

The hotel has 298 rooms across eight floors, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and room service. Some rooms show their age rather than feeling freshly refurbished, though beds and housekeeping are kept to a good standard. Facilities extend to a restaurant, bar and snack bar, an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa, plus meeting rooms and a bridal suite for those hosting weddings.

Breakfast is a particular strength, with a wide enough spread to suit most tastes, and the concierge and front-of-house staff are consistently attentive and helpful. There's no on-site parking, so guests arriving by car should plan accordingly, but for those exploring on foot, Covent Garden and the surrounding theatres are close at hand.

I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at The Waldorf in London. I visited with my son and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and it felt very family-friendly. The food was delicious, the tea selection was excellent, and the live music made the experience even more enjoyable. A lovely afternoon and definitely worth a visit.

This is a special shout out to the Waldorf Hilton London recognising the amazing front of house staff we had the pleasure of meeting during our recent trip to London. I don’t want to mislead anyone, we did not stay as guests in the Hotel we were nothing more than nosey tourists. Special thanks to Dom, our impromptu tour guide and unofficial personal attendant for our visit. A consummate professional but also a warm and friendly host. The next shout out goes to all the staff from the Bar, but a special thank you goes to Kiana for also making us feel welcome with he her warm and friendly professional demeanour. What was to be one drink in the bar (just to say we did) morphed into a couple of drinks and dinner. While I can’t speak about the hotel rooms for guests, I can thoroughly recommend the Waldorf Hilton as a venue where all are welcomed, the staff very hospitable and the food in the front eating area, fresh and delicious. Our final shout out goes to the beautiful Ruth at front reception. We need to apologise to Management for keeping her while we regaled her with our holiday highlights. She was genuinely interested and engaging. Ruth, Kiana and Dom, and all of the front of house staff that we encountered, are amazing assets to the Waldorf London team. It is for this reason we wanted to share our experience to anyone who thinks that the Waldorf London is reserved for the VIP ‘A’listers and Hollywood Celebs, nothing is further from the truth. Thank you to Dom, Kiana and Ruth for adding to our much loved and revered memories of this trip.
