About The Londoner

Leicester Square sits at the centre of London's West End, surrounded by theatres, cinemas, restaurants and bars, and it's here that The Londoner occupies a sixteen-floor building at number 38. With 350 rooms, it's a large hotel, but one that manages to feel settled and quiet inside despite the constant activity on its doorstep.

Rooms come with air conditioning, mini bars, drinks and room service, and en-suite bathrooms, with accessible options available. Guests have a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, kids' meals, laundry and concierge services, plus meeting rooms and business facilities for those travelling with work in mind. The spa and sauna, indoor swimming pool and gym give the hotel a proper wellness offering rather than a token gesture, and staff are consistently attentive and professional.

Beyond the doors, Leicester Square puts guests within walking distance of much of central London's entertainment and dining, with pubs, restaurants and eateries all close by. Parking isn't available on site but chargeable options can be found nearby, and valet parking is offered for those who'd rather not deal with it themselves.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful and incredibly cozy. The shower was amazing, the heated toilet seat was such a lovely surprise, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A special thank you to Muhammad in the restaurant for his genuine warmth and outstanding service, and to Costa at the front desk for his kindness and professionalism. One area with room for improvement is the doorman and concierge service. While they were professional, they were not genuinely warm or welcoming, especially compared with the exceptional hospitality shown by the rest of the team. The only other suggestion is to be more transparent about the daily service charge before checkout. We are always happy to tip for excellent service, but guests should be informed before the charge is added to the bill. We truly loved our stay, and whenever we return to London, this will definitely be our hotel of choice.

We recently stayed at The Londoner and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Leicester Square and perfect for exploring London. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The gym and spa facilities were also excellent and a real highlight of our stay. The only downside was our room, which was uncomfortably hot because the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. We reported it to reception before heading out for the day and evening, but when we returned, the only action taken had been to open the window—which unfortunately made little difference as it was boiling outside. To the hotel’s credit, when we mentioned the issue at check-out, the staff were genuinely apologetic. They initially offered to remove any service charges from our bill, although we hadn’t incurred any or used the minibar. They then kindly offered us a complimentary upgrade to a suite on a future stay (subject to availability), which was a thoughtful gesture. Despite the issue with the room temperature, it didn’t spoil our stay. The excellent location, great facilities and genuinely helpful staff left a positive impression, and I would happily stay at The Londoner again.

What a wonderful hotel. This hotel ticks the boxes across the board. Location - right in the middle of Leicester Square. So convenient to everything you wish to do. Staff - friendly and efficient. Smart and knowledgeable. Everyone we came into contact with, was super friendly. Bedroom - We had a corner suite - was so nice, clean and comfortable. I have even asked to now where they get their pillows from, they were so good! Spa - Lovely little retreat away from busy London. Worth booking in advance if you want a cabana. The pool was a little cold for my liking, but the sauna/steam room made up for that. Food - we had a drink and a few small plates at 8 The Londoner, was really nice settling and the soft crab was one of the nicest we have ever tasted. Breakfast was a continental selection buffet style, and then hot items bought over to you. Breakfast was busy around 9.30am, but to be expected. Absolutely stunning hotel - and we cant wait to return.

Great location for a hotel. Spacious rooms for London and the Japanese style toilets were just the cherry on top, plus the seat was heated. Comfy beds and the fluffiest slippers and robe. There was some issues when we got there about breakfast being included or not but all was sorted. I stayed on a business trip, and great to see an iron supplied.
