About Travelodge London Excel
Travelodge London Excel suits anyone heading to a conference, trade show or event at the ExCeL Centre and wanting a no-fuss place to sleep without paying central London prices. It's equally practical for pet owners, business travellers needing an early start, or families passing through on the way to somewhere else in the city.
The hotel has 131 rooms across five floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and lift access throughout. Rooms are generally clean and comfortable, though some can run warm, so it's worth checking window or air-con options if that matters to you. Wi-Fi is available but charged separately rather than included. A restaurant and bar operate on site, breakfast is served each morning, and reception is staffed around the clock.
Practical extras include an electric vehicle charge point and chargeable on-site parking, allocated first-come, first-served once you register your vehicle at reception. Accessible rooms are available, and airport transfers can be arranged. Beyond the hotel, the immediate area has pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby, alongside easy transport links into central London. It's a functional, well-priced stay rather than a destination in itself, and does the job it sets out to do.
What guests say
I had a great two-night stay at the hotel while travelling for business. Yes, it was quite hot, and the property doesn't have air conditioning, but fans were provided, which helped. The breakfast selection was excellent, with plenty of choice. Roy, a member of the breakfast team, really stood out. He was friendly, easy to chat with, and very knowledgeable about the local area, offering helpful recommendations. Overall, I had a great experience. Roy is definitely a valuable member of the team, and I would happily stay here again.

Came here for an overnight stop after a concert, the location was prefect. Lovely views of the planes coming in and out. Only major downside was NO AIRCON! we were placed on the 4th floor. The hotel is like an oven! The heat literally rised, outside was only 26degrees but inside our room was well over 30degrees, felt like a sauna.. the 2 fans were just blowing hot air round. Literally worst sleep we've had as a family we struggled to sleep all night. Not pleasant at all. For the price we paid as a family room, Aircon should be installed as a standard! We will definitely go to a premier Inn next time as Aircon is a must in our summers..
