What diners say
I have eaten fish all my life. This place is great. We had the Cod and new potatoes. We also had the steak and baby mushroom pie. The last pic was the scampi balls that were good to me, but probably would have been better with some stronger seasoning or butter dip.

Great restaurant! Ate the rock salmon fish and chips and it was superb. Also the sticky toffee pudding with custard was heavenly. I knew it was going to be a good meal when i saw a row of taxis parked in front.

Kennedy’s Fish and Chips delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a classic British chippy. The look and feel is very traditional, with a clean and spacious interior that makes it comfortable whether you’re dining in or grabbing a takeaway. Service was great—friendly, efficient, and no long waits, which always adds to the overall experience. The cod was good. Not mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable. The fish itself was nicely cooked—white and flaky inside, and importantly, not overcooked. The batter had a good crisp overall, although there were a few slightly chewy spots here and there. That said, it wasn’t particularly noticeable and didn’t take away much from the meal. A big highlight was that both the chips and cod weren’t oily at all, which is a massive plus for a fish and chips shop. Everything felt fresh and well-prepared rather than heavy or greasy. Overall, a solid, reliable chippy that gets the fundamentals right.

It's been a couple of days and I have not had fish and chips as of yet. Saw this shop while walking around and had to stop by. The cod and haddock are fantastic. Fresh and came from the boat this morning. The chips are ok and the malt vinegar helped. The steak and mushroom pie was rich and deep. Of course I could not end the meal without toffee pudding. They serve it piping hot and just sweet enough. Highly recommend to drop by and have a meal.
