The Horse and Groom Shoreditch

We had a party upstairs on a Saturday night from 6-1am. Pre-event organisation was all friendly and well informed. Soundsystem was all good and we organised our own DJs for a joint bday. We ordered pizzas from pizza luxe, which everyone loved. Drinks package was well organised made for a nice flow as the night began and friends arrived. Had security on the door to our space, keeping things private, secure/safe. Would recommend booking for a private party it was pumping and couldn’t have gone better.

I can’t recommend the Horse and Groom highly enough for any private celebration — they truly exceeded all expectations! I recently hosted my 50th birthday there, and the entire experience was outstanding from beginning to end. The team went out of their way to make the evening feel special and completely stress-free. The venue itself is ideal: great location, plenty of space, warm atmosphere, and beautifully arranged for a private party. Every member of staff — from security to the bar — were professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive, ensuring all of our guests felt welcomed and well looked after. The vibe on the night was fantastic. The sound system is excellent, and the fact that it’s included in the room-hire price (along with fast, efficient staff and security) is a huge bonus. It all came together to create a truly unforgettable celebration. If you’re planning an event, the Horse and Groom is an easy choice. You won’t be disappointed!

Great pub for a private event. Brilliant atmosphere, really friendly staff, and the upstairs space and outdoor area worked perfectly for our group. Had a brilliant night - lots of people commented on what a great venue it was. Would absolutely book again.

A brilliant pub with an even better team. We hosted a work quiz night upstairs in the Horse & Groom and Neil and team made everything so easy. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning and the bar staff were incredible throughout the evening - and they make a great aperol! The perfect space. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
