What guests say
I’d like to share our experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is located in a lovely part of London, and from the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a modern and welcoming atmosphere. We booked our stay through the Stayforlong app, and from the very beginning, the staff did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. On our second day, we asked if it would be possible to change rooms, and the team happily accommodated our request with a smile. We’d especially like to thank Ray at the reception, who handled our request with exceptional kindness and professionalism. He was genuinely helpful, made the whole process quick and easy, and left us with a great impression. We’d like to thank him once again for his excellent service. The breakfast is simple, but everything is fresh and made with quality ingredients. Sometimes quality is more important than having endless choices, and that was definitely the case here. Overall, we leave with wonderful memories and a genuinely positive impression of the hotel. If you’re visiting London to explore the city and enjoy everything it has to offer, we can wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Thank you to the entire team at Point A Hotel Shoreditch for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to see you again this autumn!

I think that for its location and price point along with the great service from the staff (especially Dayna, who went above and beyond for my mom who uses a wheelchair - thank you Dayna!), this was a great place to stay. Truly - all staff members we encountered were so lovely and attentive. It’s within walking distance of many buses and trains (we only had to take one train from Heathrow - the Elizabeth line - which dropped us off only about ten minutes from the hotel) as well as many eateries and shops (if you’re vegan and/or are open to vegan food, you HAVE to try Mukbap, which is a Korean vegan place only three minutes from the hotel and get the fried seaweed rolls). From an accessibility standpoint, we super appreciated the little bit of extra room for my mom’s wheelchair, and it seemed like there are quite a handful of accessible rooms available in the whole building (some places we’ve seen you’re lucky if there’s even one). The only bummer right now if you use a wheelchair is the fact that there’s a bunch of construction down the street that makes it difficult to maneuver. We ended up avoiding it altogether, but it definitely added some extra time to our trips by having to go around the construction (obviously not the hotel’s fault, but just a heads up for other people who may read this with mobility issues). The sidewalks in the neighborhood are not the best, and sometimes you’ll have to cross the road where there’s no slope down to the street. :( Also if you have forgotten anything for your trip, they have a handy touchscreen vending machine in the lobby that has everything from plug adapters, power banks, and earbuds to lip balm, wipes, and other sanitary/beauty/hygiene products. (It was definitely helpful when my mom realized she forgot her toothbrush at home.) One star off for the funky smell in the bathroom (not sure why it always smelled musty by the sink), and it would be nice if there were some more vegan options for breakfast (even some peanut butter, nuts, soy yogurt, or oat milk would be nice to go with the corn flakes and muesli that were offered). They did have blueberry filled croissants, which was pretty cool, but aside from that and fruit, the savory options were really lacking. :( (I can’t remember her name, but thank you to the kitchen employee with short dark hair for getting me the vegan croissants still as they seemed to be out when I arrived for breakfast my second day!)

Reliably good for a one night stay for work. The staff are nice, check in is easy, and the rooms are clean. The tv reliably works, and they have a rainbow mood light which adds a bit of fun. You can get back in at any time of night by scanning your room card at the front door, and they do sell water and snacks. Only downside is that the bathrooms tend to be very small even for me as a not-very-tall woman (I am 5’5”), but you can’t win them all. It’s affordable for central London, and if you get a membership on their website even more so.

This is far from a 3 star hotel as the rooms are absolutely miniscule. The rooms are the size of the double bed with no where to store suitcases and the heat inside them is unbearable due to the size. The rooms were also filthy and smelt of mildew. You have to pay extra for a window. Would never stay here again. There are much better hotels near Liverpool Street for a fraction of what this room cost us and are much bigger.
