What diners say
Had a great experience at Tonkotsu Bankside. The food was absolutely spot on—full of flavour and really well done. You can tell they focus on quality, and everything we tried hit the mark. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and very responsive, which made the whole experience even better. A big bonus was that kids eat free during the Easter holidays, which is such a nice touch for families. Overall, a fantastic spot for great ramen and a relaxed meal. Will definitely be coming back.

Ordered the Tokyo Ramen, Fried Squid, Pork Gyoza, and Pickled Cucumber. Everything tasted incredible, especially the squid and the ramen. Everything component of the ramen was delicious, and the roasted pork belly was the best I’ve ever tasted. Service was fast and very hospitable. Highly recommend this place, especially during lunch hours.

It was my first time at Tonkutsu and it was a great experience. I’m not a big fan of Ramen but their signature Chili Chicken Ramen is absolutely worth trying. The Katsu Chicken Curry is also delicious and at par with some of the best Katsu curry places in London. Really friendly staff and atmosphere. Reservation needed but they also accommodate walk-ins. Highly recommended.

I was craving a bowl of ramen and wanted to visit Tate Modern, so we decided to make a day of it. Tonkotsu Bankside is just a short walk from the museum. The restaurant's outdoor seating overlooks a cheerful courtyard filled with flowers, trees and plenty of people-watching opportunities, especially on a good sunny day. The menu is neat and well designed. I ordered the Chilli Tofu Ramen with an extra egg. The bowl looked vibrant and colourful, and tasted just as good. The broth was rich and comforting with a gentle kick of spice, the noodles had a great bite. If you're planning a visit to Tate Modern, walking along the Thames, or simply exploring Bankside, Tonkotsu is well worth a stop. A good, comforting bowl of ramen in a nice part of the city.
