We actually visited the Stockwood illuminations, it was great for adults and children alike. It's a 45 minute trail, very beautiful. If you've been before there is so much more this year. I think there are still tickets available. They also have stalls at the end to get something to eat or drink and the cafe is open. Only downside :) is your pictures cannot capture it all.

We went for an afternoon and had a great time! There was loads to see! Plenty to keep the kids entertained and adults could see lots too! There is a play park for a range of ages and a cafe too. We also walked round to the seperate park. Highly recommend for a free afternoon out!
