Worst cinema experience I’ve ever had. For the first 15 mins the audio was too low and they didn’t switch off the lights. Then after complaints the lights went off apart from a few emergency spotlights which were a distraction throughout the rest of the movie. The sound was turned up so much that it was unbearable and you can hear the speakers cackle. The picture was not the correct widescreen aspect ratio but more of a square. There was a musty smell as if the seats haven’t been cleaned in years. The experienced ruined the movie I was looking forward to all year. Other people have left reviews with the same problems so they’ve not tried rectifying this. We should’ve asked for a refund but I just wanted to get out of there. I will never watch a movie in there ever again.

This place really needs significant improvements. In over 25 years, nothing meaningful has changed, and any updates made have been so minor that they don’t improve the customer experience at all. It’s disappointing, because the potential is there — it just feels like no real effort is being invested. Screens are dirty with visible marks. Sound quality is poor throughout. Seating is outdated and uncomfortable. Food prices have increased despite smaller portions

Overall, it’s a decent local spot for blockbusters if you book ahead and skip the overpriced concessions (bring your own if allowed). Worth it for proximity, but don’t expect luxury

I just got back from an awful cinema experience. I’m an avid cinema viewer and I usually watch a movie at the cinema every week/other week (mainly Odeon or Reel.) It has been a while since I have watched at Cineworld Luton and today I was reminded why I avoid it. First I was hit was an awful stench. It seemed to come from the seats and the floor. The cinema needs a deep clean for starters! As soon as the film started in screen 7, all the lights were on for atleast five minutes. The volume was so low that we could not hear a thing. People got up to speak to staff and after five to ten minutes the main big lights turned off. They turned the volume up so loud that there was a crackling sound throughout the movie. This sound was extremely off putting. The spotlights above our head were still on and the screen was not dark. I could not concentrate whatsoever and I left the cinema with a banging headache. The movie did not fit the whole screen either. Definitely not the cinema experience I paid for! I think this has been one of the worst cinema experience I have had. I paid full price for a ticket and did not enjoy it at all. I grew up watching movies at Cineworld Luton but I don’t think I will ever visit Cineworld Luton again! Don’t waste your money here and go elsewhere!

People say this cinema has friendly, helpful staff who provide great service, and offers a diverse selection of films, including many Indian movies.
Other reviews mention the theaters can be neglected and the screens can be small with poor audio.
