The Amherst House

The Amherst House occupies a Grade II listed stable courtyard at Stowlangtoft Estate, surrounded by woodland, parkland and farmland across 1000 acres. This is a whole property to yourself, with parking for two cars on site and one well-behaved dog permitted. The cottage is contemporary inside, arranged over two floors with a practical layout that works well for families or groups of friends.

Ground floor comprises a lobby, open-plan kitchen and dining area, living room with Smart TV, and a shower room. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a double, a single accessed through the double room, and a twin. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower. The bonus room off the main bedroom holds a cot and single bed—it has no windows, so useful for young children who wake early. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer. French doors from the kitchen open onto a south-facing Juliette balcony with woodland views; further patio doors lead to a patio overlooking the same outlook.

Essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. The communal gardens are shared with other properties on the estate. A BBQ is available on request. The property is non-smoking.
