Clover Cottage

Clover Cottage is a single-storey modern build on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, designed with coastal living in mind. A short walk takes you to a vast sandy beach; from the cottage itself, the view stretches across fields to the sea. The building sits on a peninsula where the Atlantic influence is constant and immediate, creating that particular sense of remoteness the islands are known for.

The entire ground floor is arranged in an open plan, with the kitchen, dining and living spaces flowing together and opening onto an enclosed garden with a terrace and seating area. Two bedrooms—one double, one twin—and a single bathroom serve four guests. Outside, a separate outbuilding contains a games room (with table tennis), a washing machine, and bike storage. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. You have parking for two cars on site.

North Uist is joined by causeway to the islands of Berneray, Benbecula and South Uist; Harris and Lewis are reachable by ferry. The cottage itself works well as a base for exploring the wider Hebridean archipelago, though the beach and the light are reason enough to stay put. Note that this is a non-smoking property.
