The Wheelwrights Post - The Old Post Office
New Forest

Fordingbridge sits a mile away with pubs, shops and cafés along the River Avon, while the New Forest National Park runs directly opposite this converted studio. Footpaths lead into woodland where red squirrels, ponies and deer are regularly spotted; cyclists benefit from bike storage on site and quiet routes through the forest. Salisbury is 9 miles north and Ringwood 5 miles south if you want to venture further afield.
The Wheelwrights Post occupies what was once a post office, wheelwright's workshop and bakery combined—the building itself carries that nineteenth-century history. You get a double bedroom, shower room and kitchenette (electric cooker, hob, microwave, fridge) all on the ground floor, with a TV for quieter evenings. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all provided, and there's a welcome pack to get you started.
The studio is part of a small complex on shared grounds with its own sitting area and garden furniture. Parking for one car is on site. This is a no-smoking property.

Personally the best place to stay in the area. Was visiting family and friends in the new forest. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed here for three nights in Feb, family of three two adults and a 7 year old. Was a nice place to stay, had everything you could need and was a good base for exploring the forest. Owners were great, leaving bits in the hideaway for drinks and eggs, milk, bread etc and making everyone feel welcome. Will definitely look at staying again when next exploring down that way

The studio/cottage was next to busy road but we were not unduly disturbed. Room is OK but not lavish. Only a single easy chair and shower room is miniscule. Good value for money.

Lovely cottages and great location near Salisbury and the New Forest! Lovely family who are attentive to your needs and make you feel welcome. If you love nature this is the place for you. Would definitely return again! Thanks to Jeremy and family for everything!
