Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa

Mum and I have just returned from Carey’s 1-night b&b and evening meal package combined with senspa 1-day spa experience, and I can’t speak highly enough of the entire visit. From start to finish, everything was wonderfully managed. The reservation process was seamless, check in was quick and easy, and our room overlooking the garden was beautiful and immaculately clean. The dining experience was equally impressive. The evening meal was delicious - pork belly starter and chicken schnitzel for main. Breakfast was exceptional, offering one of the best selections I’ve seen in a long time. Spa day itself was superb and included a delicious 2-course Thai lunch. A special mention to Natasha hostess with the mostest clearly explaining everything and very courteous. Mum had the plant power body massage with holly and I the herbal poultice with instinct, followed by an eminence facial with pat. The quality of the treatments were exceptional! Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in the uk. It wasn’t just the products but the organisation, professionalism, politeness but the expertise and overall attention to detail that really stood out. The initial cost is high but when broken down into the elements it’s very good value for money. Most importantly we achieved what was our intention- feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. A huge thank you to everyone that contributed to make our experience special.

Nice location. We visited in July during a particularly hot period, and unfortunately the room was unbearably warm. As our room was located directly above the restaurant, we couldn’t keep the windows open to let fresh air in because the cooking smells from the restaurant would fill the room. This made our stay quite uncomfortable, especially considering the price we paid. Another disappointment was the breakfast. We specifically booked a rate that included breakfast, only to discover that most of the main breakfast items, such as eggs, required an additional charge. It felt misleading to advertise breakfast as included when only a limited selection was actually covered, particularly at a hotel in this price range. I also chose this hotel because it is promoted as having one of the best spas in England. In reality, I found the spa quite basic, not particularly clean, and lacking comfortable places to relax around the pool. It did not meet the expectations created by its reputation. Finally, I had mentioned in advance that we were staying to celebrate my birthday. While I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, it was disappointing that this wasn’t acknowledged in any way. Even a simple birthday card or small gesture would have made the experience feel much more personal, as many hotels do for special occasions. Overall, there are several areas where I believe the guest experience could be improved, especially considering the premium prices charged.

Had a lovely spa day at Senspa as an early treat for a friend's 60th. The spa facilities were even nicer than we had hoped. The outside of the spa doesn't do it justice and spa parking could be better sign posted (go further around the back). The spa inside is very nicely setup, thoughtfully decorated with a lovely scent, and relaxing vibe. The hydrotherapy area 😍😍, steam, sauna, ice and various other rooms were lovely and day is almost not long enough to enjoy each thoroughly. The Thai food was amazing and very good portions, worth going for the meal alone. The relaxation room is also great for teas, coffee and their signature herbal tea which was lovely. The waved loungers in the quiet room were super comfy - they could do a trade selling them to customers. We then had a 60 minute scrub and massage by Thai ladies who were great. We'd definitely return, when you consider the price of a 2 course Thai meal, massage and facilities it's a good deal and even better if you go on an off peak day.

Well, what can I say about Carey's manor, other than it is my little sanctuary. Such a beautiful hotel with the most relaxing grounds/gardens. Fabulous, friendly staff. Stunning rooms, luxurious hydro spa at a reasonable price of £39 for 2 hours rain showers with lights and bird sounds, crystal steam room, aromatherapy sauna, tepidarium, relaxation room and also a quite room. Treatments are available at an extra cost. Access to leisure facilities included in your stay, including swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, and gym. Just an absolute gem in the heart of the new forest. Close to Lymington, and Lyndhurst. Lots of fabulous places to eat. I've been here twice in 2 weeks and already planning our next stay! Thank you Carey's Manor, for an incredible stay once again.
