What guests say
Such a lovely place. We opted for the garden room with a hot tub for a treat. It’s in the new building, really quiet, great rooms. The breakfasts are fantastic! The staff and really warm and friendly, we’ve really enjoyed it here. Literally behind the hotel is the Deane, beautiful walks and waterfalls. We took advantage of the £25 pp offer the hotel has for a David Lloyd day pass, just round the corner. We were lucky to have some sun while we enjoyed the outdoor heated pool!

Due to family circumstances we stayed here on 3 seperate occasions over 3 weeks. It is just lovely. The location is perfect, secluded and quiet in the dene. The house itself is full of character which is reflected in their differing rooms. We booked the deluxe double room and had a different room each time. All were really nice but our favourite was room 3 with its large walk in shower. We wanted to move one of our rooms (small shower) and they accommodated us without complaint. The staff are so, so lovely, both on reception and in the restaurant and for breakfast service. Really friendly, helpful and nothing is too much bother. We were really made to feel welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed and cosy because of them. So thank you. I would highly recommend staying here. You will appreciate the building and the friendly staff.

Stayed here last week for two nights as I was travelling daily to the NCCC for treatment before going as an inpatient. I have to say it was the best decision I made to book this hotel - it was a short walk away from the hospital and the rooms were brilliant. The little details such as the bath salts and bath robes were a great addition. I had a lovely relaxing stay. The kitchen staff went out of their way to cater for my dietary requirements also. All the staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. Whilst on-site I booked again to bring the family back for a night to celebrate a birthday. Thanks again.

This is a charming hotel in the middle of Jesmond which is surprisingly secluded. It’s an old school stone country house tastefully converted to a hotel. Ample parking, a warm greeting at reception and a lovely lounge bar and restaurant. Food was great. The room was spacious clean and really well presented. Robes in the wardrobe, the bathroom was spotless and classy. A small outside terrace by the bar is great for an evening drink or an outdoor breakfast in the summer. This hotel is great for a short relaxing break. It has business meeting rooms and a large function room, which we didn’t use as that wasn’t the point of this trip. Reasonably priced for what it is, would recommend and will stay again! It’s set right next to the Jesmond Dene, a little gorge/river walk in a secluded valley with waterfalls, paths and loads of bridges. A great place to wander.
