What visitors say

Willen Lake is a fantastic place for a family day out, with so much more to see than just the lake itself. We spent hours exploring the area and were surprised by how many unique landmarks and peaceful spaces there are to discover. Highlights included the beautiful Peace Pagoda, the Buddhist Temple and Buddha statue, all set in peaceful surroundings by the water. The small Japanese Garden is a pleasant addition, although the temple and pagoda are definitely the main attractions. We also enjoyed visiting the Memory Tree, the Medicine Wheel Circle of Hearts, the Needle Stone and the Labyrinth, each adding something unique and thought-provoking to the visit. The lakeside walks are beautiful, with plenty of open space, wildlife and lovely views across the water. Facilities were good, with convenient parking and public toilets nearby. Whether you’re interested in nature, photography, spirituality, history or simply enjoying a relaxing walk, Willen Lake has something for everyone. A wonderful place to slow down, explore and spend quality time outdoors. We will definitely be back. 🌊☮️🪷🌳❤️

My husband and myself went for a walk around the lake, stopping off at the coffee shop on the way. The coffee was delicious, staff were polite and friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. The lake has lots of activities, but we didn't partake. There was also plenty of disabled parking. Tickes are £1.50 per hour. We have decided to return again soon.

Great lake! Has loads of activities around the lake such as the little go ape rip off or the pedal go kart things to go around the lake with. Pedalos are great to ride but clearly people don’t care about others because the one I had rented was covered in crisps. The willen observation wheel is also very fun and has great views of the surrounding areas. Aqua parcs is also good fun but has loads of spider nests and algae on the one you crawl through.

🌊 Fun-Filled Day at Willen Lake—Perfect for Weekends! Willen Lake is a massive and entertaining destination—perfect for spending quality time with family and friends. From boating and adventure activities to a relaxing café, beautifully maintained gardens, and a vibrant water park in summer, there’s something for everyone. Entry to the park is free, but activities like water sports, boating, and adventure courses are chargeable—you’ll need to book tickets in advance, and I’d recommend doing it online to avoid queues. 🎟️ Parking is easy too! There’s a large paid parking area, so you can park your car without any hassle. 🚗 One of the highlights for me was the lakeside pub—a great spot to unwind and hang out. Whether you're there for action or just to chill, it's easy to spend a couple of hours soaking in the atmosphere. A top pick for weekend outings if you enjoy a mix of nature, adventure, and relaxation all in one place. 🌳☀️
