About The Hoste Arms
The Hoste Arms occupies a seventeenth-century coaching inn on the green in Burnham Market, the village that anchors the smart stretch of the North Norfolk coast. It has grown well beyond the original building: the 47 bedrooms are spread across the inn itself, a courtyard wing, and further properties around the village including Vine House across the green. The coast at Burnham Overy Staithe and Holkham is roughly ten minutes away by car.
Bedrooms vary a good deal, which is part of the appeal and worth checking before booking. The older rooms have beams, sloping floors and traditional furnishings; the courtyard and Vine House rooms are generally larger and more contemporary, with rainfall showers, honesty bars and Nespresso machines. Several are set up for families, and dogs are welcomed in many rooms and throughout the bar, with beds and bowls provided.
Public areas are busy and informal. There is a panelled bar serving local ales and a long list of wines by the glass, a restaurant and conservatory, and a sheltered walled garden that fills up on warm afternoons. The hotel also runs a small beauty spa, a gym, and a 20-seat private cinema that guests can book. Food covers pub classics, seafood from the coast and a fuller dinner menu, with breakfast included in most rates.
This is a sociable place rather than a retreat, and it suits people who want to walk out of the door into a village of galleries, delis and independent shops. It is a strong choice for groups, dog owners and anyone combining beach walks at Holkham with lunch and shopping. Parking is free but can be tight in high season, and the bar can be noisy in the evenings, so light sleepers should ask for a room away from the main building.

2 night stay in this well run pub with rooms. Welcoming staff, beautiful bedrooms and wonderful high quality food The rooms are of a high quality and spotlessly clean. The bedroom had everything you needed including a minibar for a perfect getaway stay. Set in Burnham Market close to beeches, shopping and green spaces for a relaxing stay. The pub had a high quality food and drinks menu and the ploughman’s and fish and chips were amazing. Breakfast each morning was continental buffet and a cooked to order hot option using all high quality produce. I will return, excellent hotel with pub and dinning room , I will be back . Thanks you Hoste Arms

Had a fabulous meal at the Hoste. Hadn't booked but very usefully, you can order from the restaurant menu at the bar. Our order got delayed and the lovely Immy offered free drinks for a slightly extra wait. And it was absolutely worth it. Food was delicious. Really great vibe, staff (inclu Keiran at the bar) and a great experience all round

I had such a wonderful experience dining at the hoste last week I just had to leave a review! The sandwich I had from the lunch menu was just divine. And when I went up to the bar for a pint, I was so impressed with the service from the wonderful, Jack, that this will certainly become one of my regular spots when I’m in the area. When bombarding him with questions about the local area, Jack stayed poised, cheerful, and seemed almost thrilled to answer each and every one to the best of his ability. Overall, quality food, lovely location, and exceptional staff. Will be coming back.

We had a lovely time at this hotel - long weekend break from London and it exceeded expectations. Rooms were great, beds comfy and very clean. Food - had breakfast included and very good plus had dinner one night and it was delicious. They have a small cinema showing 3 films a day with free popcorn! And many board games to play. The staff were excellent - very nice, friendly and helpful. Definitely going back.
