Whiting Bay sits on Arran's coast where rural North Ayrshire meets the shoreline. 2 Northbank Cottages stands within easy reach of the beach—a short walk across Sandbraes Park, which has a children's play area—and the village itself with its shops, pub, restaurant and café. Walks thread through the surrounding countryside, and the local golf club, bowling green and putting green are close by.

The cottage has three bedrooms sleeping five: a kingsize upstairs, a double with a single in a second room, and a third single bedroom. Downstairs, the living room has a wood burner, freeview television and games. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped for cooking and opens onto an enclosed lawned garden with patio seating and a courtyard—practical for a summer barbecue or just watching the light fade over the fields. The bathroom combines a bath with shower. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen and wi-fi come as standard; initial fuel for the wood burner is provided. There is parking for one car on site. The garden has four steps. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted.
