Gowanhill

Gowanhill is a four-bedroom house on the Isle of Arran that sleeps 10, with a games room featuring a pool table and table tennis. The ground floor has a living room with a wood burner, a separate dining room, a fully fitted kitchen with an induction hob and dishwasher, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and shower rooms with heated towel rails. Bedroom 1 is a kingsize with an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has three beds (two singles that zip together and one single), Bedroom 3 has three cabin singles, and Bedroom 4 is a double. Electricity, heating via an air source heat pump with underfloor heating on the ground floor, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included in your stay. Initial logs for the wood burner are provided, along with a travel cot and highchair if needed.

The property sits near Whiting Bay Hall in the village of Whiting Bay, with a front garden and seating area, and parking for three cars on site. One pet is welcome to stay at no extra cost. The village has cafés and independent shops, and the bar at Eden Lodge is within walking distance. Glenashdale Falls and the prehistoric Giant's Graves are accessible via a family-friendly forest trail. Nearby Lamlash offers sailing, sea kayaking and boat trips to spot dolphins, porpoises and minke whales, while the ferry to Holy Isle takes you to a Buddhist community with roaming goats and ponies. The island is home to red deer, red squirrels and seals. No smoking in the property.
