The Byre is a converted barn on the edge of Barnstaple, sleeping four across two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Everything you need for a self-catering break comes as standard: bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all included. The kitchen has a full range of appliances—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer—so cooking for the group is straightforward.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, the first with a super king bed and the second with a zip-and-link super king (or two singles if you prefer). Upstairs, an open-plan living space with a woodburner opens onto a private, south-facing garden equipped with a hot tub. There's an outdoor shower and enough parking for two cars. One dog is welcome to stay free of charge.

The location sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, less than three miles from the coast. The surrounding countryside offers cycling, walking and access to local attractions like boat trips from Ilfracombe. No smoking indoors.

I didn't even go here but I'll give it 5 stars anyway because it looks nice and the software that said I visited was obviously not very good (Google maps I presume)

Beautifully furnished, open plan, yet cozy, cottage feel. Three good sized bedrooms, double with spacious en-suite. Two twin rooms and a separate shower room with toilet and basin. The kitchen is very well equipped, well designed and very good quality. Far more than one would expect from a holiday let. In fact, the whole space exceeds expectation. I could quite happily live in a space like this.
