Manor Farm - Poppy Cottage

Poppy Cottage suits families and couples after a countryside retreat with easy access to the coast. This converted barn holds four guests across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the ground floor arranged as an open plan living and dining space that flows into a fitted kitchen. Downstairs, a zip-and-link bed can be configured as singles or a superking; upstairs, a kingsize bedroom sits with its own ensuite. Both rooms have televisions. The property includes essentials like wifi, heating and bed linen, with initial logs provided for the wood burner.

What makes it different is the private hot tub built for four, positioned in the enclosed garden with patio seating. A single dog is welcome provided it stays on a lead (the cottage sits in sheep country). There is one step at the entrance. Walking and cycling trails crisscross the surrounding area, and Weston-super-Mare's beach and pier are roughly five miles away. The Mendip Hills landmarks—Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Wells Cathedral—are all reachable by car, as are Chew Valley Lakes for birdwatchers and Exmoor National Park further out. The cottage does not permit smoking.
