Birch Lodge is a detached house on Whitby's West Cliff, positioned at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac where the outlook sweeps across open water. From most rooms you can see uninterrupted coastline stretching from Sandsend Ness in one direction to Whitby Abbey and beyond in the other. The property sleeps 6 across three bedrooms and one bathroom, with parking on site. A sun porch, entrance hall with cloakroom, lounge, dining room and kitchen with patio access make up the ground floor; the master bedroom is upstairs. Beach access is via the zigzag paths that cut down the cliff side.
The house is fully equipped for self-catering stays, with electricity, heating, bed linen and towels provided, plus wifi. The kitchen is set up for cooking. This is a no-smoking property. The location puts you close to Whitby's shops, restaurants and attractions while the coastal setting itself is the main draw—sitting on the cliff with those sea views across the bay.

We had an amazing 3 nights stay here in such a peaceful location. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed which made our stay uncomplicated and relaxed. The bbq was great. We are so glad we found Birch House Farm and will definitely return! Thank you!!!

Just returned from two nights at this amazing little place. The little lodge is exactly what we were looking for when we wanted a couple of nights away. Peaceful, beautiful views, a stunning little lodge which was immaculate and smelt clean as soon as we opened the door. Even down to the presentation of the towels and the seal of the toilet roll, it just made you smile as soon as you walked in ☺️ Easy booking and checking in. Welcome email with all the necessary information on arrival day. I'm so glad we found this little gem. We will definitely be returning and hopefully for longer next time. Thank you Phil and Katy for an amazing break 😊

There is so much I can say about our stay at Birch house farm lodge. The booking process through air bnb was smooth, with plenty of information sent out in the lead up to our stay which helped to put my mind at ease and ensure our journey there went well. When we arrived I was blown away, the cabin is stunning and as for the views... Rolling countryside for miles. A beautiful peaceful tranquil countryside escape. A read of the welcome pack then we went to the local pub for dinner (and braved the ford's in getting there, however you can take a different route to avoid them). Highly recommend the Station pub in Grosmont. Waking up to the stunning view was amazing, the facilities at the lodge was perfect. After then spending the day at Whitby we returned to relax at the cabin and make use of the fire pit. A truly wonderful stay and we are already trying to plan for when we can get back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay
