Bosuns Cottage

Bosuns Cottage started life as a smokehouse before being rebuilt with care into a spacious four-bedroom home. It occupies the eastern edge of Whitby, just 100 yards from the beach and a short walk down cobbled streets to the harbour. The sea, harbour entrance and beach are visible from the property. Double glazing and gas central heating keep it comfortable whatever the season.

The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and a kitchen/dining room equipped for cooking and eating together, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize, two singles, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The top floor has a fourth bedroom with a super kingsize bed and its own ensuite shower room. A travel cot and highchair are available. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are all included. There is parking for one car on site.

Whitby itself has the Captain Cook Museum, galleries, antique shops, Whitby Jet jewellers, restaurants and pubs. Beyond the town, the Cleveland Way offers clifftop walks and the surrounding moors have villages worth exploring. Family and couple bookings only; the property is non-smoking.
