Elowen

Through the doors of Elowen you step into a bright, open-plan living space designed around sightlines and sociability. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the lake, and sliding doors lead straight onto private decking where you can sit outside without leaving the view behind. A log-burning stove anchors the living area; the kitchen and dining space flow naturally together nearby. Warm, earthy finishes and rustic details make the interior feel settled and comfortable rather than showy.

Three bedrooms sleep six. Two have zip-and-link super-king beds that can be split into twins if needed; the third is a fixed king. One bedroom has its own en-suite; the other two share a house bathroom. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property faces south across the water, so light fills the rooms throughout the day. One dog is welcome to come along.

The enclosed decking is genuinely private, sheltered enough for outdoor meals or simply watching the lakeside wildlife. A pub sits within a mile. The surrounding countryside offers walking routes and access to local market towns, though many guests find the immediate setting reason enough to stay put. No smoking inside the lodge.
