Hugo

Hugo is a modern lodge built for accessibility, with everything on a single level and no steps to navigate. Set back slightly from the water in a quiet Yorkshire lakeside development, it gives you a sense of seclusion while still keeping views of the lake and surrounding countryside within reach. The open-plan living space is designed around a log-burning stove, with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that open onto a private patio and separate hot tub area. A well-equipped kitchen sits at the heart of the layout, making it straightforward to cook anything from breakfast to a full evening meal. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included.

Three bedrooms provide sleeping arrangements for up to six people. Two have zip-and-link super-king beds that can be separated into twin singles if needed; one of these rooms has its own en-suite shower. The third bedroom has a fixed double bed and shares a bathroom with the rest of the property. The enclosed garden gives you outdoor space without leaving the grounds, and the hot tub is positioned as its own quiet retreat. Dogs are welcome. No smoking inside. The wider area suits those after peaceful walks, and several market towns are within easy reach. Check-in is after 4pm, check-out before 10am.
