Old Mill Cottage
North Yorkshire
Whitby's Gothic streets and clifftop Abbey sit within reach of Old Mill Cottage, a semi-detached property on the town's edge. The disused railway line to Scarborough runs a few hundred yards away—21 miles of flat walking and cycling through countryside. Inland, the North York Moors National Park opens up thousands of miles of footpaths and bridleways. The Cinder Path itself begins nearby, leading down to Robin Hood's Bay. For something different, Whitby hosts the Steampunk Festival, Bram Stoker Film Festival, Regatta and Goth Weekender through the year.
The cottage is all on ground level: a double bedroom with an ensuite shower, open-plan living space with dining area, kitchen with electric cooker and hob, and a small enclosed garden with terrace. An open fire, television, and all the usual essentials—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included. Two cars can park on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. Hawsker village pub is within walking distance. No smoking is permitted.
