The Bilbrough Country Classroom and the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are within easy reach, and York itself is close enough for a day trip to its shops, restaurants and medieval streets. Harrogate, Wetherby and Leeds are also nearby. The east coast is about an hour away if you want a seaside break, and both York and Wetherby racecourses are within driving distance.

The Carriage House – Studio 3A is a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a 200-year-old converted barn in Bilbrough village. It sleeps four: the bedroom has a kingsize bed, and the open-plan living space includes a sofa bed. There is one shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. The living area has a TV. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. You have your own entrance and the whole place to yourself.

The garden is shared with other properties on-site and has a sitting area with furniture; the hot tub is also shared and needs to be booked in advance. There is bike storage and on-road parking. Smoking is not permitted. One dog is welcome.
