The Carriage House - Studio 3B

Studio 3B at The Carriage House is a first-floor conversion in Bilbrough, a village within easy reach of York. The open-plan layout combines living, kitchen and sleeping areas under one roof. A sofa bed in the main space and a double bedroom provide sleeping for four; there's a shower room and all the essentials for self-catering, from oven and hob to dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, and you have the run of the place to yourself.

What sets this studio apart is the private hot tub in the garden. The sitting-out area is yours alone, though parking is on the road and there's a bike store if you're planning to explore. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. The pub and restaurant in the next village are within walking distance.

The location works well for access to York's independent shops and restaurants, or for heading into the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. The coast is roughly an hour away. One dog is welcome. Note that there is no smoking inside.
