The Cottage at Stainsacre Hall

Stainsacre is a quiet village on the edge of protected woodland, less than three miles from Whitby. The Cottage at Stainsacre Hall sits at this boundary between settled land and trees, with a footpath running through the woodland behind. Sandy beaches, the Cleveland Way and Cinder Track are all within reach; the Windmill Inn is nearby for an evening out.

The cottage is a single-storey property sleeping two, with a ground-floor layout that opens from the hallway into a living, kitchen and dining space. One bedroom contains a king-size bed. The bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower cubicle. Doors from the living area lead onto a decked seating area overlooking the lawned garden. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge—and there's a 43-inch smart TV in the living room and a 32-inch set in the bedroom. Underfloor heating runs throughout. Essentials including bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. One well-behaved dog stays free; there is parking for two cars on site, and stabling with paddock space is available next door by prior arrangement at additional cost. No smoking inside.

An unfenced river runs through the woodland 180 yards from the cottage, so this should be noted if young children or dogs are unsupervised.
