Wesley Chapel
North Yorkshire
Wesley Chapel occupies a 17th-century building in Whitby's old town, accessed via 22 steps up to an enclosed front garden where a private hot tub faces south over the rooftops toward the sea and harbour. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a king bed and walk-in shower, one with two single beds and cubicle shower—each with its own ensuite bathroom and smart TV. Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen and living area has underfloor heating, a dishwasher, washer-dryer, and an electric fire; a separate toilet sits off the kitchen. Essential services—electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels—are included.
The setting is Church Street, lined with independent shops and cafés, though the cottage itself sits back in a quiet yard away from foot traffic. A public car park lies half a mile away. The kitchen lets you cook properly or keep things simple; the hot tub, garden furniture and barbecue make the enclosed space a real focal point, especially on clear days when you can see across to the west cliffs. No smoking indoors.
