Wren suits families and groups wanting a self-contained base near water. The lodge has three bedrooms, each with a zip-and-link bed that converts to twins, and one en-suite; a second bathroom serves the other two rooms. It sleeps six and allows one dog. The whole property is yours alone, with an enclosed garden and decking that face the lake.

The interior centres on a spacious open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows, a log-burning stove and direct access to the deck. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking together. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. A pub sits within a mile. The setting—beside Brompton Lakes in North Yorkshire countryside—works for quiet breaks or as a base for exploring the region; the grounds themselves are suitable for walking and watching wildlife. No smoking inside the property.
