Thought there was a bar here - wrong. BASIC ERROR Bit out of the way for most basic things but ideally located for link roads into town so, I suppose that's a bonus Good tips for dining and takeaways from the evening staff...suggestions for Uber, Deliveroo etc. Clean rooms and friendly service too. There is a famous steak house in the same grounds though, 20 yds away with very good beer and spirits at ok prices. And they don't mind if you just want a tipple...!

This is a review which is overdue from about 6 months back, but haven't forgotten to post it. We like travelodge generally when we're out an about across the country. It's nice because you know what you're getting, just in a different "font". However, what really sets apart this one is the excellent team. My husband forgot his wedding ring in the room, which was quite expensive. Before my husband even realised it was missing, **James** called us and said the cleaning team had found it. Thank you so much to this incredible team for being so honest. The world is a better place with people like you in it.

Our friends booked the hotel for us (a family with one kid) In the pics it looked very well but when we arrived the room had an awful cigarette smell and couldn’t open the window because we were at the ground floor with garbage bin view. The room was pretty big with a very small electrical radiator. Just because it was really small it was really a BIG problem. It couldn’t make enough heat to raise the temperature in the room. It was programmed by hours with different temp, it dropped to 18 degrees, couldn’t put it more than 22 (we needed it because the hotel room couldn’t maintain the temp) At night we had to wake up and manually raise the temperature in the room because it would randomly drop. More than this, one day it got an error, problem that we reported to reception. By foot by the way because you don’t have a telephone in the room. We waited like 30-40 min to someone to come and the temperature was constantly dropping and no one came. We figure it out by our self, reset it and announced it again to reception. The lady there was just doing her thing, probably forgot about us and was just glad we worked it out. We’re never coming here again 😊
