Went for afternoon tea the hotel it self is very dated it could do with a makeover, the staff were lovely so friendly and welcoming, the tea was very good just needed a little finishing touch we had cheese and pickle sandwich which was great, a tuna sandwich which could have had a little cucumber in , and an egg sandwich that needed cress and seasoning. Also we would have liked sugar lumps or a sugar dispenser rather than sachets of sugar. Just a few finishing touches would top it off other than this it was actually nice afternoon tea cakes were fantastic and good selection and plenty.

Stayed here for two weeks with my family and had a really good experience overall. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities you need for a longer stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The location is also a plus, Weston Favell shopping centre is about a 7–10 minute walk, and you can reach the city centre in around 30 minutes on foot through the lovely Abington Park. There’s plenty of parking available too, which was convenient. Nothing overly fancy, but a solid, well-run hotel with good service. Would stay again.

Rooms a little old fashioned and one socket is still made for a round pin plug, however, my room was clean, fresh towels, clean bed linen and I'd guess a 32 inch TV. Never tried the WiFi so no comment. Reception and bars staff where very nice checked me in and made sure I'd done the car registration correctly, I hadn't but they sorted it. Lovely and quiet with quite a decent shopping centre 5 minutes away.
