Alnwick lies two miles south, a historic market town where Alnwick Castle dominates the skyline and the Gardens feature a working cascade and poison garden. The Northumberland coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is about six miles east. The Cheviot Hills rise to the west. Heckley Farm Cottages - Snowshill sits between these landscapes in rural countryside, with parking for two cars and a private garden.
The cottage is single-storey, three bedrooms and one bathroom. A kingsize and a single bed are provided; the third bedroom layout is not specified. The living room has an open fire and a television. The kitchen and dining area are separate, with a large farmhouse table, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and a heated towel rail. An enclosed garden with seating looks out over the farmyard setting.

The cottage was lovely, and the setting was very peaceful. With lots of wildlife in the surrounding fields, the owners were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The area's beaches, town's villages and castles are beautiful and amazing.

Really enjoyed staying there in a good location for. Aget away from a busy life short drive to the site around the area.
