Merry Burn Barn

Merry Burn Barn is a single-bedroom conversion on a working farm in rural Northumberland, surrounded by countryside near Falstone. The barn sleeps two and comes fully equipped: a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave means you can cook proper meals; the living room has a woodburner and Smart TV; the ensuite includes a walk-in shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered, along with initial fuel for the stove. There is parking for two cars on site and an electric charging point if you need it.

The location sits a mile down an unmade road on Ferny Rigg Alpacas farm, where you can watch the animals from the cottage windows. A pub is within a mile. The wider area puts you close to Kielder Water—kayaking, sailing, walking and mountain biking are all nearby—and within reach of Northumberland National Park. No smoking indoors. This is a place to arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am.
