South Farm Cottage is a Grade II listed building that started life as a byre in the 1700s. The thick stone walls, exposed beams and original fireplaces are still there, but the interior has been updated for modern living. It sits between Corbridge and Matfen in rural Northumberland, reached by car and offering parking for three vehicles on the property.
The ground floor holds a sitting and dining area with a stone surround and beams, plus a kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed and one with two singles—and a bathroom with both a bath and shower. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi and bed linen are all covered. The cottage is yours alone, not shared with other guests.
Outside, an enclosed garden has seating and furniture. The villages nearby offer pubs and shops; this is walking country with easy access to the Tyne Valley. No smoking inside the property.
