About Mercure Norwich Hotel

An indoor swimming pool is one of the more unusual extras at Mercure Norwich Hotel, a 107-room property on Boundary Road within reach of Norwich Cathedral and the Norfolk Broads. Alongside the pool there's a gym, a restaurant and bar, and meeting rooms, making it as suited to a business trip as a weekend break in East Anglia.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible options are available, with room service and laundry service on hand. Some rooms show their age and could do with updating, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. Breakfast is a genuine strength, with a wide selection on offer each morning, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful throughout a stay.

Free on-site parking is provided, useful given the hotel's two floors spread across a good-sized footprint, and airport transfers can be arranged. Golf courses, pubs, bars and restaurants are all nearby, while the hotel itself hosts weddings and entertainment, making it a practical base for exploring Norwich or the wider Broads.

I recently stayed at Mercure Norwich and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out was the welcoming and helpful staff. From check-in to departure, everyone was friendly, professional, and happy to assist with any requests. Their excellent customer service made me feel valued and well looked after throughout my visit. I was also particularly impressed by the flexibility of the meal options. As someone with specific dietary requirements, it was refreshing to find staff who were accommodating and willing to adapt meals to suit my diet. They took the time to understand my needs and ensured I had suitable choices available, which made dining stress-free and enjoyable. Overall, I had a great stay at Mercure Norwich and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, attentive service, and a hotel that genuinely caters for all.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable with working air-con and windows that actually open. Staff were friendly and helpful. A big shout-out to Angie in catering who looked after me very well at mealtimes. After being told I am a vegan she made sure I had something different to eat every night, coming to my table personally every evening to inform me of my meal choices. And also I’d like to thank Rose and the chef who ensured I had something nice to eat Sunday lunchtime.

Super rooms and super food. Staff were all interactive and great fun. Emma served us so well and had some great fun with us... She was particularly complimentary about my Forest Gump shorts. Please tell her she was brilliant and great fun. She made the weekend extra special for me. Well done Emma... Liam Muldowney from Ireland 👍
