About Premier Inn Norwich West Showground A47
Set beside the Longwater Interchange on the western approach to Norwich, Premier Inn Norwich West Showground A47 sits close to the A47 and within easy reach of the Norfolk Showground, with the open countryside of Norfolk beyond and the city centre a short drive away.
The hotel has 62 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room, along with accessible rooms for those who need them. Reception is staffed around the clock, and there's an adjoining restaurant and bar serving breakfast and meals throughout the day, with a Costa Coffee also nearby for those wanting something quicker. Rooms are generally well kept, with comfortable beds and reliable showers, and the on-site food has been a particular strength according to those who've stayed.
Free on-site parking is available, though it needs registering with reception on arrival to validate it, and it's worth noting some visitors have been charged in error, so it's best to confirm at check-in. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing and horse riding, plus pubs and restaurants nearby for evenings out.

Two stars lost for two reasons. 1, The bed was a double in a room and emperor would not look out of place. A postage stamp of a bed. Feet hanging off the end. 2, No put you up bed or sofa bed. As a room sold as accessible, where one would reasonably expect one or both occupants might need extra bed space, the size of main bed was not up to the job. No single trundle bed in case the second person needed alternate sleep arrangements. Perhaps I should have spoken with someone and ensured it was in place. But I think my feelings and requirements are more than reasonable. I ended sleeping on the floor, not good for a man of nearly 67. I would have expected Premier Inn to have asked for feedback by now. As they have not I decided to post. Especially as having made my feelings known to the receptionist, she said wait for your feedback email and tell them directly. Having used this chain before and the fact they pride themselves on thier beds, it might be wise to revisit their accessibility policy. Ordinary rooms have big enough beds but my wife is not able to climb up onto them. She also needs the usable bathroom.

My family of 4 (inc. 2 kids under 10) stayed here for the night and would definitely stay here again. It's perfectly located as it's next to the A47 for easy access to the coast, local attactions (Dino park at Lenwade, Bewilderwood etc.), the city and A11 to the south. You'd think the road outside would be a problem actually, but the windows were really well insulated so it wasn't a problem at all and the room was quiet. Re the room, it was brilliantly equiped with everything we would want as a family and importantly, it was really clean. Highlights included a good bath and shower with decent water flow and enough and a towel per visitor; hair dryer that was stronger than a fart in a breeze; bottle opener on the wall (unexpected but made hubby happy); good comfortable beds for adults and the children in the same room; as well as the usual things you'd expect to see in a good hotel room. The breakfast the next morning was served at the sister company 'TableTable' and was great - plenty of food cooked or continental and to a great standard. The reception staff in the evening and morning teams were also really lovely and helpful.

Nice staff and very polight. Some are very chatty which is a good thing. The room its self is spotless . The bed was very comfortable. The only thing is the building is showing its age inside and out. Free parking but you need to register your vehicle which is not a problem.

Usual good standards for Premier Inn: Clean rooms and friendly staff. However lack of air conditioning in rooms is a big issue, especially in warm weather. A fan does not really help to cool the room and windows only open slightly, for safety.
